When thinking about who to have as our live act we thought it would be super cool to have the girl who brought the house down at our last big country party before covid. Katy Hurt is returning with her full band to once again bring the house down at our first event post covid!one of those rare talents that can write and perform with equal impact. Her 2019 single Revved Up prompted Roland Monger, Music Blogger, to say “Hurt’s voice takes Dolly Parton’s twang and Beth Ditto’s soul, wraps it all up in a basket with a bow before setting fire to it and leaving it on your door step.” Steeped in country roots, but never one to simply yield to the traditional Nashville sound, Katy stretches the country music genre in exciting new directions. Haunting blues vocals, towering country rock guitars, even a reggae vibe can be found in live performances.
We'll also have our resident DJ back spinning all the hottest tracks from music city, as well as our line dancing taster, Southern BBQ and of course plenty of Kentucky's finest bourbon courtesy of our friends at Buffalo Trace.
This country party was awesome! People were so nice, the music was great (thanks DJ Hish!), I really enjoyed country line dancing and bull riding, even the burger was amazing. And the event location is so convenient. A great night!
Brilliant atmosphere and loved my first ever country music event! The team made me feel really welcome and I felt so safe in there! Thanks for an amazing night Max! Here’s to many more!!
Booked this as looking for something to do while in London. We were not sure what to expect but were delighted by the mixed age range and friendliness of the guests. We were sorry that we missed the line dancing lesson as arrived too late. It would have been great to have had a second session as most people were keen to try and copy the couple of proficient dancers. We were Mum and Dad with three daughters in their twenties. Great fun evening. Would recommend to a friend.
